Language Courses

English is the common language within the Quantum Universe Research School and most of the academic work will be conducted in this language. However, life in Hamburg stretches beyond the interaction with other scientists. Knowing some German makes daily life easier and allows networking better with people outside of work, traveling in and beyond Hamburg, during shopping, or may even come in useful when talking to the technicians in the workshops.

All QURS fellows are therefore encouraged to attend German courses. Various options are available depending on the proficiency level and schedule.

QURS co-organizes language classes as part of the PIER Education Platform. Participation in these classes is free for all QURS fellows:
